Staff Wellbeing
“You can’t pour from an empty cup”
Positive staff wellbeing is essential for cultivating a school that promotes Mental Health and wellbeing, for retaining and motivating staff and for promoting pupil wellbeing and attainment. In addition to having a positive impact on colleagues and children, staff wellbeing can improve performance and job satisfaction, which can lead to reduced staff turnover. It can also help to reduce absence (both short and long term), increase productivity and promote staff engagement resulting in a flourishing school environment. This section explores why it is important to promote staff wellbeing and the difference that it can make within the school.
